My Favorite!

This is a layout that I am working on in regards to Allyson's favorite toy at the moment. She is in love with the See n Say. It is the farmer addition. She will say the animal sound and sign the animal as well if she knows the sign for it. It is so cute. She insists on taking it everywhere!
OK, I am off to balance the checkbook. We are meeting Grandma TuTu up at Papa and Dede's house tonight for dinner!

Cookie Time!

I can't believe summer is almost gone! I do love summer but there is something about fall that I love like no other season. I think it comes from my days in Wisconsin. The trees all lost there leaves there and I would spend hours raking the leave to create a big pile to jump into. I think the fact that it is the gateway to all the holidays is another reason I love fall so much. Before we know it we will be dressing up in coustume and exchanging christmas wishes!

So one of my favorite fall time activities is making cookies. This year Allyson was very hands on! She enjoyed the activity very much. We still need to frost, we have to do these things in stages now! OK, have a great weekend!

Bobby's Wedding

Last weekend we attended the wedding of my brother Justin's bestfriend Bobby. I was in Portland at Grey Gables. I had never heard of this place before and as we were driving there I was a bit curious as to what this place was going to look like considering the location we were in. I was this historic home tucked off I a busy Portland street. The wedding was outside in a beautiful setting. Twinkle lights everywhere and the path to the alter was sprinkled with red roses. The Bridal party and Bride had to cross over a little bridge to get to the Alter.

Just a beautiful wedding all around. It was so great to see Justin & Kelsey again. It had been over a year since I saw Justin last. (We got to see Kelsey over Christmas) I do believe that Allyson gave Justin a run for his money though!!! Sorry about the Laptop?!
I almost forgot to mention, I finally found someone that can out dance me! My daughter. She LOVED it I could not keep her off the dance floor! Larry had to take a shift! OK off to get Allyson to Preschool and then enjoy a few hours "Bug Free"

1st Bus Ride!

Can you believe it! Here my little Baby Bug is off for her first School Bus Ride! She LOVED it! She has been talking about the School Bus since last year and everytime we left school last year she wanted to get on the bus. Now she will have that chance every Monday morning. Of course I had to be there to be witness to the first trip. She was so cute when she got seated I could see she had a big smile on her face and she was wiggling around in her seat looking at the other kids. It was great! OK, she is napping and I am going to go get a little scrap time in before she wakes up! Have a good day!

Boating fun!

These are photo's from last weekend's boating trip. We spent Thursday thru Sunday out at the cabin. It was very hot! I loved the warm nights, we would put Allyson in her jammies and go for a late night walk! We took the boat out on Saturday, it was again a super hot day, so we were thankful to be on the boat! Even the wind was warm.
We had an interesting trip! It started off with me sitting on my Tuna Fish sandwich!! That was a real treat! It was open face of course! So I had to whip my swim suit bottoms off and try to rinse the TUNA off in the river! So I got to enjoy lunch bottomless wrapped up in a towel!
Next Larry was trying to figure out a way to put up the beach umbrella when a strong wind came along and blew the open umbrella out into the water. He had to dive in and rescue it!
You would think at this point we would just hang it up and call it a day, but no! We were not going to give up that easily.
So after lunch we headed out for a ride to Rainier. Along the way, Larry thought it would be fun to chase a duck and see how fast this bird could fly??!! Well in doing this he loosened up a bolt for something in the engine causing it to make a knocking noise. Well we pulled over to the shore so that Larry could tighten this bolt. He had to tear the engine apart to get to it, but he managed to do so. Well after using a few sentence enhancing words (a line taken from Sponge Bob) he informed me that he dropped the bolt and could not reach it!
So to finish up this long story, we had to use the trolling motor from about the mouth of the Cowlitz River to the Kalama Marina. Which means that it took us 2 1/2 hours to get home! Larry told me "well you wanted to spend the whole day on the boat" and we did, we pulled into the Marina about 7:00 pm! It really was a great day even with all the mishaps! I was with Larry and Bug on the boat with the sun shining it really just doesn't get any better than that!
Today we are heading to Ellensburg so that Larry and our partener can wire the new commerical building we are having built there. Allyson and I are tagging along, so everyone have a good week and weekend!

County Fair Time!

At the beginning of this month, we met Beth, Justin, Amanda, Nancy, Papa and DeDe at the Cowlitz County Fair. This was Allyson's first time riding the rides. Much to my dissmay, she WAS tall enough to ride all the kiddy rides. She had such a great time. I could not believe she was having so much fun! Justin and Amanda rode the rides with her so that made me feel much better. We had such a great time! Thanks Bethie and kids for letting us tag along!

It's About Time!

Yes I know once again I have been slacking on my posting! So let me catch you up.

In July we got to take Allyson to her first Mariner game in Seattle. She did so well. She really enjoyed watching all the people and clapping when everyone else did. Let's just say not a lot of clapping going on though? Game was not to exciting, but we had great seats and great sunny weather. After the game we went to dinner in Seattle on Lake Union. We eat at this reasturant called "Joey's" let's just say the average looking person need not apply. All the employees were HOT and PERFECT. The food was so GOOD!
